The European Union’s (“EU”) artificial intelligence (“AI”) Act (the “EU AI Act”) represents a landmark legislative initiative designed to govern the development and deployment of AI technologies within the EU. Recognizing the transformative potential of AI and the need for responsible and ethical use, the EU AI Act aims to establish a comprehensive regulatory framework. This framework seeks to balance fostering innovation with safeguarding fundamental rights and societal values. The impetus behind the EU AI Act lies in addressing the ethical concerns associated with AI, such as bias, discrimination, and the potential impact on privacy. By laying down clear guidelines and standards, the legislation aims to instil trust in AI systems, promote transparency, and ensure that AI technologies align with European values.

Training Duration
This course may take up to 2 hours to be completed. However, actual study time differs as each learner uses their own training pace.

The course is offered fully online using a self-paced approach. The learning units consist of reading material and videos. Learners may start, stop and resume their training at any time.
At the end of each session, participants take a Quiz to complete their learning unit and earn a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of all units.
