Trusts are widely used in Cyprus, yet very few professionals can confidently explain how trust accounts, distributions, and tax actually work together in practice. Most trustees and advisors rely on assumptions, inherited practices, or incomplete records, often without appreciating the personal tax and liability risks involved.
This advanced, practical course responds directly to the questions repeatedly raised by professionals working with trusts in Cyprus, particularly in relation to financial management, record-keeping, distributions, and taxation. It goes beyond trust law basics and focuses on what trustees, advisors, and fiduciary professionals are expected to do in real life, and what happens when they do not.
The course bridges legal trust principles, financial management, and Cyprus tax treatment, showing how poor accounts and documentation can unravel an otherwise sound trust structure.
