Conflicts or misalignment of interest are a fact of life. They are not inherently bad, but undisclosed and unmanaged conflicts are. It is the possibility that someone may have divided loyalties in a particular transaction or situation, not the taking advantage of it, that gives rise to the conflict. What matters is how we handle them and the need to disclose them may arise earlier than you may think. Getting it wrong may be damaging reputationally to the individual and the business; worse, it may lead to legal proceedings and financial damage. This programme will explore areas where a conflict of interest can arise and how to handle each one ethically.
