Mr Panayiotis Kakourides is the Chief Operating Officer of Crowdbase, Cyprus's first regulated equity crowdfunding platform licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). He holds a BSc in Business Mathematics and Statistics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Master's degree in Financial Analysis from London Business School (LBS). He has successfully passed the CFA Level I and Level II examinations.

Panayiotis brings a strong practitioner background in financial analysis, company valuation, and investment structuring. At Crowdbase, he leads investment analysis and due diligence across start ups, SMEs, and real estate opportunities, evaluating companies on financial viability, deal terms, and valuation. He builds financial models, valuation reports, and fundraising materials, applying methodologies including discounted cash flow analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions. His work spans the full lifecycle of investment transactions in Cyprus, from reviewing financial statements and assessing business health to structuring deal terms under Cyprus Companies Law, including share class design, shareholder agreements, and investor entry valuations.

Prior to Crowdbase, Panayiotis worked at EY in the Strategy and Transactions practice, where he contributed to independent business reviews, company valuations, and the valuation of intellectual property assets using income-based methodologies and market research. His professional background also includes financial statement analysis and audit at PwC, and M&A valuation work at Logicom Public Ltd.

Panayiotis is a guest lecturer at the University of Cyprus Centre for Entrepreneurship and has served as a workshop facilitator for the KPMG Startup Innovation Lab and the Deloitte ARIS Accelerator programme. He regularly delivers talks and participates in panels at industry events, and holds the CySEC Advanced Certification.

His teaching approach is grounded in real-world experience, drawing on practical case studies from the Cyprus market to bridge the gap between financial theory and professional practice.
