Andreas Loizou

Andreas Loizou is a Certified CyHRDA (ΑΝΑΔ) trainer, with expertise in Software Development. He holds a masters in Computer Science from the University of Oxford, and he is currently the Director of Software Development at QBeat Technologies.

QBeat Technologies is a software house and advisory services provider based in Cyprus, with clients within Europe.

Andreas served in senior and leadership positions at organisations across a number of verticals, including Banking, Hydrocarbons & Chemicals, Defence Technologies and Financial Trading. He has led the development of mission-critical systems, large scale financial software processing millions of events per hour, defence and governmental software systems and more.

Andreas coached dozens of Software Development Teams. He was also an invited mentor at technology competitions (hackathons) organised by the Bank of Cyprus, KPMG, the Ministry of Defence and others. He has been an invited speaker at conferences and other technology events, such as the High Tech Conference in Cyprus, PyData, and more. Moreover, he is the founder of the Cyprus Software Craftsmanship Community and a Lead Organiser of the Google Developers Group Cyprus.

He is also a certified Professional Scrum Product Owner and Scrum Master.
