The concept of Sustainability & ESG (Environmental-Social-Corporate Governance) is new, broad and there are many misconceptions. Managers start to understand the imperative of Sustainable business but, the integration of practical Sustainability practices within business is still unclear and complicated.

New and innovative ways are needed to ensure the integration of sustainability, in line with global best practices and upcoming EU Directives. 

The seminar focuses on sustainability strategy formulation and the processes that enable participants to successfully integrate sustainability into their organizations. It includes a wide range of new concepts, international best practices, practical tools, new standards and EU directives. It captures the changing nature of Sustainability. It helps participants adopt a proactive stance. Participants will gain new tools and methodologies to integrate Sustainability into business and across the value chain.

The programme is approved by the HRDA (ΑνΑΔ) – Human Resource Development Authority in Cyprus as “Vital Importance”, therefore the participation fee is fully subsidized, allowing up to three participants per business entity to attend without cost.

Why this seminar

Sustainability is a key concept for businesses to succeed, but at the same time a great challenge. Stakeholder pressures, an increasingly stringent legal framework, growing customer and societal demands, financial pressures and the dynamic role of investors are forcing the transition from traditional models to new approaches based on building stakeholder trust through transparency, self-commitment, accountability and two-way communication. Executives however struggle with the integration of new practical concepts of Sustainable Development into their business.

Through this interactive training, participants will gain the tools and understanding to connect sustainable development with corporate strategy and operation, effectively implement internationally recognized frameworks, initiatives and standards, and smoothly move to more sustainable business models. Participants will learn how to gain a competitive edge, to better manage current challenges and risks. They will also learn to communicate effectively their performance through
Sustainability reports (as per the new GRI standards released in 2021) and preparing in advance for the upcoming EU Directive on Corporate Sustainability reporting (CSRD) with completely changes the scene for companies across all industries!
