SPEAKERS

Alexis Vafeades
Minister of Transport, Communications and Works
Alexis Vafeades studied architecture at the University of Southern California (USC). He had been practicing the profession of architect since 1988 and was one of the Directors of the family architecture practice Vafeades and Co. He is registered with the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK). He was a member of the Board of Directors of Demetra Holdings PLC and of the Cyprus Joint Construction Contracts Tribunal (CyJCCT). During his previous term as President of the CyJCCT, he contributed to the revision of the existing Structural Contracts enriching them with new texts that serve the new requirements of the construction industry. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Council for the Registration of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors and a member of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Architects Association. He is married to Evangelia and has two children, Maria and Costas.

Fabiana Mei
Project Manager and PMI Community Engagement Specialist
Fabiana Mei is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with deep expertise in community engagement, project design, and international partnership coordination. As a Chapter Engagement Specialist at PMI, she builds strategic relationships, empowers global communities, and leads impactful initiatives. With a background in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, Fabiana specializes in knowledge exchange, social innovation, and organizational development.

Alana M. Hill
Change Leadership Expert and Keynote Speaker

Evangelia Kaoli

Founder and Managing Director, BINIAPI Engineering Services
Evangelia Kaoli is an accomplished Civil Engineer with over 27 years of leadership experience in the construction industry. She holds an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and currently serves as Director General of the Cyprus Council for Registration and Control of Contractors. As Founder and Managing Director of BINIAPI Engineer ing Services (2016-2023), she specialized in project management, contract administration, and construction management across government and private sectors. Her expertise encompasses FIDIC, MEDSK, and Department of Public Works contract formats.Notable achievements include successfully managing the New Passenger Terminal project at Limassol Port for D.P. World, which earned the CTO 2019 silver award and Medcruise recognition for Most Efficient Cruise Terminal. She has extensive experience in tender preparation, procurement processes, and stakeholder management. Her 18-year tenure with Iacovou Brothers Constructions Ltd saw her progress from Site Engineer to Project Manager, delivering multiple concurrent projects on schedule and within budget. She is a certified PMI member and holds professional memberships with the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus and Council of Civil Engineers. Evangelia combines technical expertise with strategic leadership, offering comprehensive solutions in civil engineering while maintaining a commitment to continuous professional development through ongoing education and industry participation.

Lorenzo Vetrano
Scrum Master and Agile Coach, SSM, DASSM
Lorenzo Vetrano is an international speaker, project manager, and agile coach with more than 15 years of experience leading teams across Europe. Drawing inspiration from sports, coaching, and human-centered practices, he helps organizations transform groups of professionals into high-performing teams.As Agile Committee Manager of the PMI Southern Italy Chapter, Lorenzo has designed and facilitated numerous webinars, workshops, and international conference sessions.

Dinos Konis
Global PMO Leader, Professional Services, NCR Atleos
Dinos Konis, MSc In Project Management, holds the position of Global PMO Leader, Professional Services, at NCR Atleos. Based in Nicosia, Dinos has more than 30 years’ experience in running projects and programs, and more than 10 years leading a PMO office. As Global PMO, he oversees and monitors more than 2000 active projects worth $360 Million, managed by 180+ PMs in 8 Regions around the world. He is also responsible for the Global PM Centre of Excellence in Serbia, with 22 PMs and Project Coordinators. He was a founding member for the creation of the NCR Atleos Global Project Management Methodology called GPM 2.0, now in its third release.

Elia Kouzari
Senior Manager, Management Consulting, KPMG, Cyprus
Elia holds a PhD in Informatics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) focusing on Process Mining. She is equipped with more than 14 years of general professional experience, 9 of which are focused in delivering services for the implementation of technology projects for various local and global organizations such as Eurostat and European Central Bank. She is a Certified Project Manager, specializing in the provision of tailor-made advisory services to private and public sector clients relating, among others, to project management, business analysis, requirements definition and process mining, improvement and reengineering activities.
