PwC's Academy: A Seminar Decoding Leadership for Sustainable Family Business Success

Family businesses are the heartbeat of many economies, blending entrepreneurial drive with rich traditions and values. Yet, global research by the Family Firm Institute reveals a sobering reality: only 30% of family enterprises make it from the first to the second generation, and a mere 10% survive into the third. In Cyprus, the trend mirrors this global challenge. The key to breaking this cycle? Strong, adaptive, and forward-thinking leadership.

What Participants Will Learn

The "Decoding Leadership in Family Businesses" programme is designed to equip business owners and leaders with the tools to strengthen their leadership approach, boost team performance, and ensure sustainable growth. Participants will explore the unique Trio of Functions—Management, Entrepreneurial, and Commercial—and how balancing these effectively can transform a family business.

Drawing from Michelle Lestas’ extensive research and practical experience, attendees will discover the eight distinct leadership styles found in family businesses, understand their impact on organisational culture, and learn how to harness them for strategic growth, profitability, and long-term resilience.
