Organizer Information
Microsoft Innovation Centers (MIC’s) are state of art technology facilities for collaboration on innovative research, technology or software solutions, involving a combination of government, academic and industry participants. There are now more than 100 Microsoft Innovation Centers worldwide. As knowledge and innovation becomes the primary catalysts for economic growth, the Microsoft Innovation Centers can play a vital role in fostering innovation and grow sustainable local software economies by generating powerful new ideas through training, education and knowledge transfer.
Microsoft and strategic partners in each community work together to operate the MICs, which are centers open to students, professional software developers, IT professionals, entrepreneurs, start-ups and academic researchers. MICs provide content and services designed to accelerate technology advances and stimulate local software economies through skills and professional training, industry partnerships and innovation.
Microsoft has selected European University Cyprus to be its partner institution for the establishment of the only Microsoft Innovation Center in Cyprus. The operation of The Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) at European University Cyprus will have an enormous impact on students, faculty, IT professionals, researchers, the economy and society at large.
